This is one of my first VRML files. The earth and moon are shown with proper orientations and orbits. Sizes are to scale, but the moon has been brought ten times closer to earth.

You can watch the phases of the Moon, the phases of the Earth (from the Moon), see the far side of the Moon (and that only during a Full Moon is it the "dark side.")
